Medical Surgical Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical Nurse to join our team at William W Professional Staffi. As a Medical Surgical Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical surgical unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the medical staff.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and health management.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient outcomes and care strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.
- Support and mentor junior nursing staff as necessary.
Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable with relevant experience.
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 years of nursing experience in a medical surgical setting.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Prior experience in acute care settings is a plus.
