Welding Fabricator Specialist

At Micro Tech Staffing - North Carolina, we are currently seeking a highly skilled MIG Welder Fabricator Specialist to join our team in the manufacturing industry.

Job Summary

As a MIG Welder Fabricator Specialist, you will be responsible for fabricating metal components using MIG welding techniques, ensuring high-quality results and meeting production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions, adhering to safety regulations and wearing proper safety attire.
• Ignite torches or start power supplies, striking arcs and completing electrical circuits to fuse steel segments.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, and/or bolt component parts to achieve required configurations and positions for welding.
• Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating, warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
• Examine workpieces for defects and measure them to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical or vocational training a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in MIG welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
