Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant CNA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant CNA to join our team at SR COMPANIES LLC. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a sense of well-being and dignity.
  • Assist with meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry duties.
  • Observe and report any changes in resident health or emotional well-being to the supervisor.
  • Participate in leisure activities and provide opportunities for socialization and engagement.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents and staff.
  • Perform daily general housekeeping duties and ensure the community is maintained in an orderly, clean, and sanitary condition.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to resident requests for assistance.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff, using a language that each resident is capable of understanding.
  • Ensure residents and responsible parties sign residents out when they leave the community.
  • Maintain a safe and secure working environment, free from hazards and risks.
  • Practice good body mechanics and safe working habits.
  • Report safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.
  • Provide assistance to associates when requested or required.
  • Know, understand, and follow established policies and procedures in emergency situations.
  • Be essential personnel during emergencies and inclement weather.
  • Report or remain at the community until released by the supervisor.
  • Work as a team player with other associates and management in accomplishing work assignments.
  • Demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude about work issues, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude with residents, families, visitors, associates, and management.
  • Comply with attendance and call-off policy.
  • Participate in trainings, in-service, and mandatory meetings.
  • Wear clean and appropriate dress per established dress code policy.
  • Refrain from discussing resident care issues with families, visitors, and refer all inquiries to the immediate supervisor.
  • Know, understand, and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with training of new employees.
  • Assist in mentoring new employees.
  • Take the initiative in work, seek out additional information, offer solutions, and suggestions.
  • Willingly take on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties.
  • Perform a variety of housekeeping and laundry duties in maintaining the community in an orderly, clean, and sanitary condition.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervise employees in the Resident Services Department, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
