Job Summary

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to join our team for a travel assignment. As a Physical Therapist at our hospital, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and function.
  • Conduct physical therapy sessions, including exercises, stretches, and other interventions to promote healing and recovery.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide education to patients and their families on proper techniques for managing pain, improving mobility, and preventing future injuries.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Active BLS certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting, providing care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, including cardiac, stroke, orthopedic, and neurological disorders.
