Position Overview:

Randstad Finance & Accounting (Tatum) is in search of a dynamic and experienced Senior Financial Operations Manager to join a leading vegetation management firm. This role is pivotal in steering the financial health of the organization and leading a proficient accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation, analysis, and dissemination of the organization’s consolidated financial reports.
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Supervise the Assistant Controller and Senior Accountants, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain the integrity of financial accounts.
  • Coordinate with the ERP team to guarantee accurate transaction recording and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of financial systems and reports to ensure proper inventory management.
  • Lead the annual financial audit process and collaborate with tax professionals on tax filings.
  • Assist in the formulation of the annual operating and capital budget.
  • Engage in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, along with a CPA license.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive accounting experience, including significant leadership roles.
  • Experience in public accounting and a strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley controls is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with NetSuite or similar accounting software.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and drive change within the organization.
