Job Description:
The Laboratory Technician I will play a crucial role in implementing our Environmental Program, working collaboratively with other staff to collect environmental samples in various terrain. This position requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement testing activities for environmental matrices and cultural materials
- Lead biological and microbiological applications and analysis of environmental and forensic samples
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot listed equipment
- Perform biological isolations and chemical extractions of all sample types
- Support the policies of the Laboratory Management Plan
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Biology, or a related discipline
- 2 years' or more experience in biological and microbiological testing
- Experience with health and safety in laboratory environment
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
