GEOINT Mission Processing Engineer

Job Summary:
KBR is seeking a highly skilled GEOINT Mission Processing Engineer to support our customer in Chantilly, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering mission-critical capabilities that enable our customer to plan and execute intelligence-gathering missions from overhead systems and process the resulting collected data into useful information distributed to IC and DoD users.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Performing engineering analysis to ensure the successful development and delivery of core mission processing services in all phases of the acquisition life-cycle.
2. Interface directly with Development Prime Contractors in the role of oversight, monitoring of software development and integration activities, and ensuring alignment with Government requirements and objectives.
3. Retaining cognizance of wide variety of mission projects, including technical baseline, project schedules and dependencies, cost and risks.
4. Conducting planning for both mission architecture needs, including technical trade studies, definition of future architecture planning, software services recommendations, etc.
5. Participating in industry-standard agile software development processes, including Epic, Feature and Capability definition, prioritization and execution.
6. Providing independent verification/validation/test in support of delivered system capabilities and mission closure.
7. Supporting and leading working groups on Product definition, Interface definition, Mission CONOPS, technical implementation of new mission products in existing GEOINT Baseline.
8. Providing oversight and technical Mission framework.
Required Qualifications:
1. Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
2. B.S. in engineering, physics, or related technical degree with at least 10 years' experience with space/ground aerospace systems engineering/architecting.
3. Expert knowledge of Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) or analogous Cloud Environment implementation.
4. Working knowledge of GEOINT Mission Processing with focus on GEOINT product definition and generation.
5. Integration, Verification, Validation and Test experience (IVV&T).
6. Experience with Mission Processing Systems in support of space and ground architecture.
7. Experience identifying user & enterprise needs/requirements and gap identification, analysis and assessment.
8. Experience in supporting Requirements Engineering, CONOPS development, and system integration to accommodate the End to End GEOINT Systems Engineering.
9. Experience in Scaled Agile Frameworks for Enterprise (SAFE) agile software development and Dev-Sec-OPS concepts, processes and production.
Desired Qualifications:
1. Familiarity with specific IC customer, technical familiarity with mission processing or mission control of one or more GEOINT systems, SAR and FSG experience highly desired.
2. Ability to work for specific IC customer and familiarity with that customer's processes and organization.
3. Experience in Acquisition to include cross-program budgeting, resource allocation, Earned Value Management (EVM) and cost analysis.
