Medical Care Professional

Ascension St. Vincent Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their Medical Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team. As a member of this unit, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients with various diagnoses and comorbidities. The PCU is known for its cohesiveness and dedication to patient outcomes, offering both Progressive Fundamentals and Cardiac Rhythms training.
This is a full-time day shift position, working 3-12 hour shifts from 7am-7pm every third weekend. You will receive a sign-on bonus based on your experience and enjoy a range of benefits including paid time off, health insurance options, retirement benefits, and tuition reimbursement.
As a Registered Nurse in this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing and monitoring patient care plans
- Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition as appropriate
- Serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
To be eligible for this position, you must have a BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required and a Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing. A diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is also required.
The estimated salary for this position is between $65,000 and $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Ascension Health offers a competitive compensation package, making it an attractive option for experienced nurses looking for a new challenge.
