Floor Care Specialist

The Floor Care Specialist is tasked with the upkeep, restoration, and operation of specialized floor maintenance equipment in designated facilities. The specific duties and responsibilities may differ based on client needs and operational requirements. TX Citywide Professional Services serves as your employer while you work with our client.
Compensation: $15/HR
Work Schedule: 3pm - 11:30pm
Key Responsibilities
• Uphold a courteous, efficient, and positive service attitude towards clients, customers, and colleagues.
• Proactively address and fulfill customer requests.
• Implement correct procedures for hard floor maintenance, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, and spray cleaning, in accordance with established floor care principles.
• Execute appropriate methods for carpet and upholstery care, such as shampooing, damp cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Operate industrial floor maintenance machinery as assigned to clean extensive floor areas.
• Conduct maintenance and restorative tasks for various floor types.
• Properly manage all types of waste, including municipal solid waste and infectious materials, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Clear trash, recyclables, and soiled materials from the work area, ensuring receptacles and carts are disinfected as necessary.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, sanitation standards, and infection control measures as mandated by relevant local agencies.
• Maintain a professional appearance by following uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines while on duty.
Continuous skill development and a commitment to excellence are essential for making a positive impact on our team and clients. Responsibilities may evolve or new tasks may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in floor care or a related field, along with familiarity with floor maintenance equipment, is preferred.
- Ability to read and write effectively for communication purposes and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Successful completion of a background check and TB screening is required.
- Availability to work on weekends is necessary.
- This position may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing or walking. Compliance with uniform and PPE requirements is expected.
