Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Dairy Farmers of America. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Remove and dispose of refuse and recyclables from the interior of the plant and deposit in designated containers.
  • Operate forklifts as required to remove refuse and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Sanitize and clean facilities using chemicals and equipment to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Maintain restrooms throughout the plant in a sanitary manner, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked at all times.
  • Minimize water usage and the generation of wastewater within the scope of the position.
  • Follow all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements.
  • Perform related duties as needed to support the facilities team and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team.
