Position Summary:

Title: Recovery Advocate Supervisor
Program: Family Treatment Center
Reports To: Recovery Services Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, and evaluation of Recovery Advocates and RA Leads, focusing on coaching and staff development.
  • Conduct individual supervision and facilitate shift meetings.
  • Ensure 24-hour departmental coverage, assigning workloads and scheduling tasks.
  • Support clients with recovery services, including UA, room searches, transportation, medication administration, and documentation.
  • Act as a liaison among staff, addressing issues that arise with clients.
  • Contribute to program planning, implementation, and evaluation as part of the clinical team.
  • Assist with training and related activities for clients.
  • Organize resource materials and policies within the RA department.
  • Develop procedures and systems to meet departmental needs while ensuring compliance.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to provide comprehensive client care.
  • Model supportive behavior for individuals in recovery, maintaining ethical standards and reliable attendance.
  • Participate in planning client activities.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training relevant to client care.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to connect with women from diverse backgrounds.
  • Must pass a DHS background study and meet relevant regulations.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred experience in a substance use or mental health facility.
  • LADC in good standing preferred.
  • Experience with trauma-informed and gender-responsive care preferred.
  • Experience working with families and/or pregnant and parenting women preferred.
  • Experience supervising staff in a 24-hour behavioral setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb stairs.
