About the Role

Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Macon, Georgia.

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties associated with acquisition, processing, and submission of radiographic images.
  • Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations.
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures and obtain clinical history.
  • Review diagnostic imaging requests for appropriateness and communicate with radiologists as needed.
  • Enter patient and study information into the radiology information system and document billing codes.
  • Assist and communicate with radiologists and work independently outside the department with providers.
  • Observe patients during radiologic exams and make appropriate interventions or contact primary caregivers.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and mentoring to other personnel assigned to the area.
  • Utilize supplies and equipment in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Maintain all required continuing education and applicable certifications for modality.
Requirements
  • High School or GED Diploma Graduate.
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Registered or Registry eligible through the ARRT.
