Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at a skilled nursing facility in Escanaba, Michigan. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in helping patients who are ill, injured, or disabled regain independence and quality of life.

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for reviewing medical histories, developing and implementing speech therapy treatment plans, recommending equipment, and monitoring patient progress. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide high-quality care and support.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' communication and swallowing abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized speech therapy treatment plans
  • Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions to patients
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Current state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • At least 1 year of recent experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a skilled nursing facility
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
