We are seeking a skilled Horizontal Directional Drill Crew Member to join our team at Utility Service Contractors, Inc. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in Horizontal Directional Drilling and a strong knowledge of underground utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Horizontal Directional Drill equipment to drill bore paths for underground utilities
  • Assist in potholing and remediation to ensure accurate drilling
  • Set up and operate equipment, including drills, water tanks, and grounding systems
  • Communicate with the locator/lead via radio to confirm the location of the drill head
  • Oversee laborers and/or crew members' work and monitor time usage
  • Conduct post-job quality checks to ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality standards
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in Horizontal Directional Drilling
  • Strong knowledge of underground utilities and Ditch Witch equipment
  • Knowledge of underground pot holing is a plus
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations (Vehicle and Operator Qualifications)
  • Ability to comply with the "Operator's Manual" for your particular equipment
  • Self-motivated, safety, quality, and production-minded
  • Ability to read and comprehend and follow all quality/safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A, with airbrake endorsement and tanker endorsement)
  • Willing to travel
