**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Registered Professional Nurse (RN) to join our pediatric ICU/pediatric cardiac ICU team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric nursing, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
The RN will practice professional nursing as defined by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice, ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the YNHHS Professional Practice Model. This includes demonstrating leadership qualities, delegation skills, collaboration, effective communication, and commitment to quality outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and families.
Requirements:
- Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Connecticut.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric ICU or pediatric cardiac ICU.
