Job Summary:

Candidate is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our guests and employees at the Terre Haute Casino Resort. This role involves performing various housekeeping duties, including cleaning gaming machines, gaming rooms, restrooms, lobby, entrance way, dining rooms, and bars. The ideal candidate will be physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize gaming machines, gaming rooms, and other areas as assigned
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including restrooms, lobby, and dining areas
• Sweep, mop, and dispose of trash in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure all vacant, non-fixed slot seating is tucked in as close to the slot machine as possible and aisle ways are maintained
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• 1-year housekeeping experience preferred but not required
• Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and operating instructions
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
• Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the Indiana Gaming Commission

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level is high, and the candidate will be exposed to smoke on the casino floor. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Physical Demands:

The employee may also be required to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs independently and more than 50lbs with assistance. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
