Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B)

Job Summary:

AmeriPro Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) to join our team. As an EMT-B, you will provide patient care in emergency and non-emergency situations, ensuring compliance with state EMS rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergency calls and provide patient care according to company policy and medical director protocols.
  • Ensure ambulance and equipment are clean and in proper working condition.
  • Prepare and complete reports, including Patient Care Reports (PCR), billing, and incident reports.
  • Adhere to AmeriPro EMS policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Maintain a state of readiness and professionalism while on-duty.

Requirements:

  • State-specific EMT-B certification or licensure in good standing.
  • Current CPR: BLS certification.
  • Valid state-specific driver's license.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • Strong people skills and ability to collaborate within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as an EMT or in a similar medical role.
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and/or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training.
  • FEMA IS certs: (IS:100; IS:200; IS:800; IS:900).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move up to 180 pounds and occasionally up to 300 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.

Working Environment:

  • Exposure to inclement weather, potential hazardous conditions, and psychological stressors.
  • Frequent interruptions, work pressure, and irregularities in work schedule.
