Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will be responsible for implementing the nursing process for surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and nursing interventions in an acute and critical 24-hour setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the nursing process for surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and nursing interventions
  • Provide evidence-based nursing care to patients in the PACU department
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patients' needs
  • Monitor patients' responses to treatment and adjust care plans as needed
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care
Requirements
  • 5+ years of related clinical experience in an acute care setting, with critical care experience preferred
  • Surgical oncology experience and related certification highly preferred
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to make timely decisions that maintain high standards of nursing care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on patient safety and quality care
Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, working 12-hour shifts, flexed between 9:00pm to 9:30am, with weekend rotation required.
