Job Description

MKS2 Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to support our government customer based in the United States.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Server Administration:
    • Provide operational and maintenance support to the activity's IT cross-domain solution (CDS) and server-based solutions across a variety of major technology vendors.
    • Administer a combination of Microsoft Windows and Linux-based platforms, including Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Network Support:
    • Work closely with the IT team to ensure the secure operation of the CDS-based networking devices and components.
    • Provide troubleshooting support and guidance to assess and remediate challenges primarily in the CDS domain.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Contribute to the production and maintenance of documentation for the team's solution system(s), sub-system(s), and component(s) deployed and in use in the activity's IT Solutions portfolio.
    • Develop and deliver training to IT team members on server administration, network support, and other related topics.
Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • 5 or more years of hands-on experience providing operational and maintenance support of enterprise server operating systems (OSs) and server applications and services.
    • 3 or more years of experience specifically related to providing operational and maintenance support to Multi-Level Security (MLS) and/or CDS implementations, integrations, accreditations, and operations.
    • 3 or more years of hands-on experience working with Linux-based platforms.
  • Certifications:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
    • CompTIA Security+ certification; or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) certification; or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification.
  • Desired Qualifications:
    • Strongly desired to be Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) or GIAC Certified Windows Security Administrator (GCWN) certified.
    • Strongly desired to be Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Windows 10 certified.
    • Strongly desired to be Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Windows Server 2016 certified.
Security Clearance:

The position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret with SCI clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph.
