Job Summary

The Underground Fixed Maintenance Supervisor is a critical role within OceanaGold, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of planned and unplanned activities for Underground Fixed Maintenance and Electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Direction: Review and direct technicians on all scheduled and unscheduled repair activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Discuss upcoming schedules and plans with peers, and coordinate with operations supervisors and dispatchers to ensure sequencing matches the schedule.
  • Work Order Management: Assign and distribute work order packets, including standard job plans, to technicians.
  • Visible Leadership: Spend at least 80% of time interacting with technicians and service contractors, promoting a positive and proactive work environment.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Attend morning meetings to communicate current machine status, priority, and required schedule changes.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Execute quality control and quality assurance checks on all work, and mentor and coach technicians to perform their duties in a professional and productive manner.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to direct and motivate a team of technicians. A strong understanding of electrical systems and maintenance operations is essential, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
