As a Strength and Conditioning Coach with OrthoArizona, you will:
  • Coach and assist athletes in a safe, legal, and ethical manner to achieve their goals.
  • Conduct on-site assessments, deliver updated training plans, and re-evaluate processes as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and implement sports-specific programs for female athletes to deliver against periodized objectives for the clubs.
  • Deliver on-field and weight room-based strength and conditioning programs.
  • Contribute to the development of the Organization's Athletic Performance program to provide consistent high-level training and injury prevention training throughout the Phoenix area.
  • Have a deep understanding of athlete performance programming with a range of sports.
  • Understand developmentally appropriate training processes.
  • Participate in staff education covering all aspects of OrthoArizona programs.
  • Maintain professional credentials, including attending necessary continuing education courses.
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience in sports performance training.
  • Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science or equivalent program.
  • NSCA-CSCS (or equivalent) licensed. Other industry qualifications may be accepted.
  • Seeks new learning experiences by accepting challenging opportunities and responsibilities.
  • Flexible and cooperative.
  • Performs duties independently in an accurate and organized manner.
  • Shows initiative, dependability, and punctuality.
  • Displays good judgment.
  • Promotes and maintains a positive work environment.
  • Able to work in the afternoons and evenings, and may include weekend work.
