Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Psychiatric Unit team at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting patient information.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct patient assessments, identify areas of concern, and develop interventions to address these needs.
  • Participate in patient education and support, promoting empowerment and self-management.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in psychiatric nursing.
Requirements
  • Current Indiana RN licensure or active Compact State RN licensure.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (RN).
  • Customer service abilities, including effective listening skills.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Crisis Prevention Certification training completion within 30 days of hire.
