We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Center for Sleep and Wake Disorders. As a leading healthcare institution, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive care and state-of-the-art diagnostics for sleep disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and sleep-focused evaluations.
- Analyze diagnostic sleep studies, such as polysomnograms and home sleep apnea tests.
- Collaborate with physicians to establish precise diagnoses and develop effective treatment strategies.
- Create and execute tailored treatment plans that address individual patient needs and conditions.
- Prescribe, oversee, and adjust medications, therapies, and other interventions targeting sleep disorders.
- Educate patients on lifestyle changes and sleep hygiene to enhance treatment outcomes.
- Schedule and manage follow-up visits to evaluate treatment success and modify plans as necessary.
- Track patient progress and coordinate specialist referrals when indicated.
- Ensure patient records are meticulously documented and current.
Requirements
- Valid NP license in Maryland (post-hire licensing for Virginia and DC will be facilitated).
- Prior experience in sleep medicine or related disciplines is a plus.
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical assessment and diagnostics.
- Outstanding communication and team collaboration abilities.
- A strong dedication to patient-first healthcare.
