As a Swim Instructor at Goldfish Swim School - Norwalk, you'll be responsible for teaching students water safety and proper swim techniques based on our comprehensive curriculum. Your duties will include:

  • Providing one-on-one swim instruction to students based on our curriculum.
  • Evaluating student progress and submitting daily reports.
  • Interacting with parents/guardians on student activities and development, ensuring parent satisfaction.
  • Maintaining and ensuring proper storage of all pool equipment, notifying management of maintenance, cleanliness, and damage issues as needed.
  • Promoting safety rules and regulations, following proper accident reporting procedures.
  • Attending mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours.
  • Fulfilling other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.

Requirements:
  • 16+ years old.
  • CPR/AED certification, must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Experience working as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor, camp counselor, or childcare provider.

Work Environment: Swim instructors spend most of their working time in the pool with students. While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
