Position Overview:
You will be responsible for the oversight and administration of audit, property, and financial management policies and procedures within the organization. This role involves coordinating intricate matters with both internal and external senior-level stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance and direction for the audit compliance program, focusing on financial and information technology audit issues.
- Advise on accounting and audit remediation efforts, addressing significant and sensitive internal and external audit findings and recommendations.
- Stay informed on audit, Risk Management, and Internal Control (RMIC) policies and procedures, utilizing resources and best practices to enhance the effectiveness, auditability, and efficiency of Command activities.
Strategic Recommendations:
- Offer expert recommendations that support the Command's mission-critical acquisition and business processes in alignment with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) policies and procedures.
- Implement innovative solutions, including machine learning and artificial intelligence, to optimize transaction processing and improve analytics and the overall business environment.
Risk Assessment and Internal Control:
- Advise on the MCSC RMIC approach to conducting risk assessments, implementing an effective internal control monitoring program, and establishing annual planning objectives.
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and suitable for federal employment.
- Participation in the direct deposit pay program is required.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is mandatory.
Mandatory Technical Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of government and agency-specific guidelines related to financial management, audit, and property accountability.
- Ability to translate complex operational concepts into actionable audit recommendations.
- Extensive experience in financial/audit/acquisition roles within the Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition system.
Additional Information:
This position may require travel and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. The selection process will assess candidates based on their qualifications and experience relevant to the position.
