Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hospital Belleville. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and technical expertise in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex cardiac catheterization procedures, including coronary angiography and intervention, under the guidance of a cardiologist.
  • Operate and maintain fluoroscopy equipment, including Siemens systems, to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure accurate monitoring, equipment setup, and preparation of access sites.
  • Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and maintain a sterile field during procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and laboratory efficiency.
Requirements
  • Current certification in ACLS, BLS, and ARRT.
  • 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory, with a focus on cardiac catheterization procedures, electrophysiology studies, and vascular studies.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with some on-call requirements.
  • Guaranteed hours of 40 per week.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with EPIC and other electronic medical records systems.
  • Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures, including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, and electrophysiology studies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
