Job Title: Success Coach

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Success Coach to join our team at Wonderful College Prep Academy. As a Success Coach, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic success and college readiness of our students.

About the Role:

The Success Coach will work closely with students, parents, and teachers to provide academic advising, mentoring, and support services. This includes:

  • Providing weekly 1:1 or small group academic advising to students
  • Assessing student needs and developing comprehensive plans for assistance
  • Supporting students in the classroom through workshops and academic monitoring
  • Communicating regularly with parents and guardians to discuss academic progress and obstacles
  • Helping increase family knowledge of career and college opportunities
  • Participating in all meetings and events related to GEAR UP
About GEAR UP:

GEAR UP is a federally funded Title III Grant that aims to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education. Our partnership with Avenal and Sanger Unified School Districts will work with 6th and 7th grade students from four middle schools to prepare them for college.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BA/BS degree
  • Two years' experience with education support services
  • A commitment to educational equity and justice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to establish rapport with students and families
