Job Description:
- Task Delegation: Assign and oversee tasks to a team of forklift drivers, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
- Training and Development: Provide comprehensive training to new forklift drivers on departmental processes, ensuring they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Order Preparation: Process requests and supply orders, pull materials, pack boxes, and place orders in the delivery area, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Shipment Arrangement: Examine destination, route, rate, and delivery time to arrange shipments, dispatching to carriers in a timely manner.
- MHE/Forklift Operation: Safely operate powered industrial lift trucks to push, pull, lift, stack, or move product, equipment, and materials, adhering to safety protocols.
- RF Gun Operation: Utilize an RF gun with high accuracy to scan and track inventory, ensuring accurate data entry and minimal errors.
- Material Handling: Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles, stack them in assigned places, and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Inventory Management: Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment, identifying damages and reporting shortages or quality deficiencies.
- Load and Unload Operations: Load and unload trailers as required, adhering to client program guidelines and maintaining a clean environment.
- Process Excellence: Demonstrate a commitment to process excellence, adhering to the client's Supply Chain quality policy and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Inventory Control: Perform inbound receiving and outbound processes, coordinating and expediting requests, time-specific pickups, and deliveries.
- Order Fulfillment: Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule, loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping.
- Warehouse Operations: Receive and process warehouse stock products, performing inventory controls and maintaining quality standards for audits.
- Environmental Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, optimizing space utilization and reporting any discrepancies.
- Communication and Teamwork: Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers, operating and maintaining warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Quality Service Standards: Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations, handling order processing and order fulfillment.
- Additional Tasks: Perform additional tasks as required by management, ensuring a high level of productivity and efficiency.
Experience Required:
- Independence and Adaptability: Ability to work independently and adapt to a variety of climates and conditions, including warehouse facilities that may be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
- Verbal and Written Instructions: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors or leads, ensuring accurate understanding and execution of tasks.
- Lifting and Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 lbs, maintaining a high level of physical fitness and stamina throughout the workday.
- Data Entry and Accuracy: Accurate data entry skills, with a high level of attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-Oriented and Multicultural Environment: Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a multicultural environment, with a high level of cultural sensitivity and awareness.
- Shift Work and Team Environment: Ability to work in a team environment while delivering independent results, with a willingness to work required shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license, with experience using a sit-down MHE/forklift, preferably within the last year.
