Job Title: Clinical Social Worker, Correctional Facility (Safety)

We are seeking a Clinical Social Worker to join our team at the California Men's Colony in San Luis Obispo, CA. This is a part-time position, up to 44 hours per month, and is available to all clinical social workers currently employed by the State of California.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Social Worker will provide coverage in a part-time capacity, working outside of normal hours, and will be responsible for providing social work services to inmates at the California Men's Colony. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide social work services to inmates, including assessment, counseling, and case management
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address the social and emotional needs of inmates
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document all interactions and services provided to inmates
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
  • Valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science
  • Experience working in a correctional facility or similar setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
