Role Summary:

As a Utilities Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting essential systems within a high-speed manufacturing environment. Your expertise will ensure that our operations run smoothly and our products meet the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain Brewery Utilities systems, including steam, CO2 collection, ammonia and glycol refrigeration, dehumidification, compressed air, and water.
  • Actively participate in the brewery's HAZWOPER emergency response team.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, including respirators.
  • Conduct chemical treatments for boiler water, cooling tower water, and pasteurizer water.
  • Manage processes, perform maintenance tasks, and ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Document and respond to events occurring during your shift.
  • Assist operating departments with Utility systems as needed.
  • Interpret piping and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs).
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Analyze process data to improve equipment efficiency.
  • Engage in continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with automated process control systems.
  • Required experience in steam boiler or refrigeration systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial ammonia refrigeration, compressed air, and cooling tower systems.
  • Ability to perform mechanical tasks, including valve maintenance and motor replacements.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Prior experience in process safety management (PSM) and HVACR is preferred.
