**Job Summary**

The Automotive Master Technician will diagnose and repair complex automotive systems, including drivability, air conditioning, and electrical systems. This role requires strong leadership and mentoring skills to drive a team to deliver exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities**

  1. Diagnose and repair automotive systems to specifications, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, and air conditioning and computer systems.
  2. Perform job duties of all lower-level job descriptions, including Technician A, Technician B, Mechanic, and General Service Technician.
  3. Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-technical individuals, including employees and customers.
  4. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay up-to-date with rapidly changing automotive technology.
  5. Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized shop and adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules.

**Requirements**

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience
  • 8 or more ASE certifications (A1 through A8) are preferred
  • Section 609 Certification required
  • State Inspection license if applicable
  • High level of motivation, energy, and a customer-focused attitude
  • Valid driver's license

**Work Environment**

The physical demands of this role include extensive standing, walking, pushing, and reaching. The employee must have a full range of motion for reaching, bending, and stooping. Repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs may be required. Lifting of heavy equipment over 50 pounds is necessary. The employee may work outside and be exposed to adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust.
