Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineering Manager to join our growing Automotive Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will lead and manage developers across remote sites to fulfill development and grow the team. You will provide guidance to team members for the development within programs including issue investigation, develop automotive connected navigation products by integrating navigation core engines and SDK, implement automotive navigation features according to OEM requirements and corporate product roadmap, integrate automotive navigation application/SDK with automotive vehicle hardware and system platforms, prototype new automotive technologies with Telenav navigation SDK, drive high quality software development with unit test, code review, and integration test, and communicate and interface with customers and possess business acumen.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electric Engineering, or related majors and experiences. 10+ years' experience in software development in C and C++. Experience in development on embedded operating systems (preferably Linux, QNX, OSX, or Windows). Experience in prototyping systems/sub-systems with SDK, open source libraries, or reference products. Experience building high-tech software product from end-to-end(from design, development, to product launch). Experience leading or managing teams in remote sites. Good problem solving and debugging skills. Good communication skills are required (verbal & written).

 

Desired Skills or Experience

Multi-platform experience: Windows, Linux, OSX, QNX, AGL. Experience in XCode, Qt Creator(v4 or v5), QML, Visual Studio and other IDEs. Familiar with agile software development, able to estimate work, perform tasks, and reach deadlines. Strong leadership with creative mindset. Automotive, Navigation, or Infotainment system software experience is a plus.
