Respiratory Care Practitioner Position Summary:

At Shoshone Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our patient care team. As a key member of our team, you will maintain and promote open and honest relationships with customers and co-workers in a dynamic working environment.

This role requires the ability to interpret and follow physician orders, provide skilled and discipline-specific therapeutic services, evaluate patient response, assess patient needs, develop care plans, and participate in interdisciplinary therapy collaboration.

Responsibilities include performing cardiopulmonary testing and assisting with the diagnosis and management of patients with cardio pulmonary disorders.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy or US Military equivalent along with a minimum of Associate's degree
  • Bachelors of Respiratory Therapy preferred but not required
  • Certified (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care
  • RRT preferred but not required
  • Licensed as Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the state of Idaho
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required
  • ACLS & PALS certified within 6 months of hire
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
