Our waste collection assistants play a vital role in our operations and are integral to the communities we serve. We are seeking dedicated and diligent individuals who take pride in contributing to the community by ensuring the safe and efficient collection of waste. This involves assisting the driver in the operation of various types of waste collection vehicles, including Rear Load, Front Load, and Roll Off trucks, across municipal streets, alleys, highways, customer locations, and construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting waste from the community and loading it into the rear of the collection vehicle.
  • Operating hydraulic machinery using lever hand controls as required.
  • Assisting the driver in maneuvering the vehicle safely.
  • This role involves significant physical activity, including heavy lifting, brisk walking, and climbing in and out of the vehicle.
  • This is a full-time, year-round position, typically scheduled Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work in all weather conditions.
  • Capability to lift over 70 pounds during a typical shift.
  • Experience operating lever hand controls for hydraulic machinery.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Starting at $18.00 per hour
