Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Night Crew Associate to join our team at Kennie's Market's, Inc. As a Night Crew Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Grocery department during evening hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, responding to questions and concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in receiving and processing merchandise, including unloading trucks, sorting cases, and stocking shelves.
  • Store Maintenance: Clean and maintain the store's floors, check-lanes, carts, restrooms, parking lot, and shelves, ensuring a safe and clean environment for guests and employees.
  • Merchandise Handling: Load and unload merchandise, match cases to shelf tags, and face merchandise on display.
  • Inventory Control: Count and record individual items of merchandise for inventory purposes.
  • Damage Control: Remove damaged or unsalable merchandise from shelves and sort materials into bins for return to the damage reclaim center.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate balers, case cutters, pallet jacks, and forklifts (must be 18 years or older) to efficiently manage inventory and maintain store appearance.
  • Assisting Cashiers: Assist cashiers by bagging and carrying out merchandise when needed.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors and managers, substituting for absent workers and providing support during peak business periods.

Requirements:

  • Education/Experience: No prior experience required; training will be provided.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Mathematical Skills: None.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
