Key Responsibilities:
- Treat patients as directed by Physical Therapist, ensuring accurate and effective treatment plans.
- Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per PT Board, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized department, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences, collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
- Treat patients per the physician treatment plan, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Participate in in-services training program for other staff in the facility, staying up-to-date with the latest best practices and technologies.
- Record treatment changes per policy and procedures, maintaining accurate and compliant patient records.
- Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance program and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services, promoting patient independence and self-care.
- Report any problems with department equipment so that it is maintained in good working order, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients/residents, families, staff, and professional colleagues, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Requirements:
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant - License
