The Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery. As a member of our healthcare team, you will provide individualized, comprehensive care to patients, working collaboratively with registered nurses and other care team members to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct, evidence-based care to patients as directed by the physician or RN, prioritizing their physical and emotional well-being.
- Assist with procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed, maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients.
- Perform lab and procedural tests within the LVN/LPN scope of practice, after demonstrating competency, to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Serve as a resource to department staff, students, and volunteers, providing guidance and support to help deliver quality patient care.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) licensure in the state of practice.
- Vocational school graduate or equivalent.
- No travel required.
- No experience required.
