Norton Healthcare is actively seeking a board-certified or board-eligible neuro-oncologist to become part of our multidisciplinary Norton Healthcare Brain Tumor Center, which manages over 300 new brain tumor patients each year.
The Norton Healthcare Brain Tumor Center represents a collaborative initiative between Norton Neuroscience Institute and Norton Cancer Institute, establishing itself as the largest and most comprehensive neuro-oncology program in the region. We cater to our ever-expanding patient base through exceptional patient care and participation in clinical trials. Our multidisciplinary team consists of neuro-oncologists, neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, behavioral oncologists, neuropsychologists, speech-language therapists, and neurological rehabilitation specialists, all supported by a dedicated neuro-oncology patient navigator.
Our medical professionals remain at the forefront of technology and oncology advancements, benefiting from access to over 200 clinical trials, including Phase 1 trials and next-generation sequencing, to deliver the latest targeted therapies. Recognized as a Center of Excellence in radiation oncology, our center provides cutting-edge stereotactic radiosurgery utilizing TrueBeam STX. Furthermore, our comprehensive neurosurgery program employs state-of-the-art technology and expertise to offer minimally invasive neurosurgical interventions, including innovations such as laser interstitial thermal therapy and intraoperative neurosurgical robotics. As a multidisciplinary program, the Brain Tumor Center presents a wide array of treatment options tailored to each patient. Patient outcomes are meticulously tracked and presented at national meetings annually, including those organized by the Society for Neuro-Oncology.
Position Highlights
- Completion of either neurology or oncology residency training is required; neuro-oncology fellowship training is mandatory.
- No stroke call is required for neurology-based providers, and oncology providers are not required to take benign hematology call.
