Job SummaryUnder the supervision of a board-certified radiologist, the Interventional Technologist will be responsible for performing a wide range of interventional procedures, including arterial and venous interventions, contrast studies, and complicated procedures such as stenting and cerebral coiling. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and excellent outcomes.
Responsibilities- Perform imaging exams within the Interventional Radiology Department, as well as in associated departments such as the OR, Vascular Lab, and Hybrid OR
- Work in accordance with Joint Commission, State, and other regulatory and/or accreditation agencies in the performance of duties and comply with all safety and infection control guidelines
- Participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement activities
- Interface with other departments, physicians, physician office staff, patients, patients' family members, and visitors to the facility
- Assist with the training/evaluation of Radiology School students, as applicable
- Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- Two-year program or four-year BA program in Radiology Technology followed by training in interventional procedures either on the job or from an accredited program setting
- American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) or registry eligible with completion of examination within 9 months of hire and/or certification as an interventional technologist
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of start date
- Minimum of one-year hospital department experience in arterial and venous interventional radiology
