Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the success of our Ambulatory Surgical Center, providing exceptional patient care and supporting our team of medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Assist the surgical team with instrument handling, supply management, and equipment setup.
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of the surgeon, passing instruments and supplies as required.
  • Participate in pre-operative and intra-operative duties, including patient preparation, draping, and positioning.
  • Collaborate with the anesthesia provider and other team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including instrument, sharps, and sponge counts.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and regulations, demonstrating a commitment to patient safety and well-being.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of training for Surgical Technologists.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of previous experience as a Surgical Technologist, with a preference for sterile processing experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
