Key Responsibilities:
- Manage kitchen staff and coordinate daily tasks to meet production and service needs.
- Develop and implement menus, ensuring compliance with dietary regulations and hospital policies.
- Monitor inventory and ordering of food and supplies to maintain efficient operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and handling procedures.
- Recruit, train, and evaluate kitchen staff to maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Dietary Managers Certification of Completion preferred.
- 2-4 years of work experience in dietary management.
- Current or temporary Food Handler's Permit offered by the Jackson County Health Department.
- Previous work history demonstrating steady attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Verbal ability to understand medical and scientific terminology to communicate with professional staff.
- Ability to understand policies, principles, and procedures.
- Must be able to perform functions and duties of this position.
- Vision and hearing are essential.
