We are seeking a skilled Electrical Service Technician to join our team at Wood-Mizer Products. As an experienced technician, you will work with customers to troubleshoot electrical equipment issues, create solutions, and ensure a smooth interaction, all while upholding the integrity of our core values.

About the Role

This is a customer-facing position that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities. You will be responsible for analyzing, finding, and fixing electrical problems in the field or over the phone, providing guidance, training, and instruction to non-technical representatives, and determining the best method to resolve complex technical and electrical issues to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot high-voltage and low-voltage DC equipment, up to 480-voltage AC
  • Knowledgeable in the operations of PLC's, HMI's, AC Drives, and VFD's
  • Interface with customers regarding technical and electrical aspects of our products or services
  • Relay customer feedback to appropriate personnel in sales, quality assurance, and product management
  • Provide problem resolution and troubleshooting to customers over the telephone and in the field
  • Assist with product updates
  • Determine parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need and document service-related activities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Trade School Certificate in Electronics or a related field (Preferred)
  • 4-6 years of prior experience in customer service areas and working with the public (Required)
  • 4-6 years of prior experience with service in the manufacturing field or similar field (Preferred)

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
