Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer - Requirements and Verification Lead

At Blue Origin, we are pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our Lunar Permanence team as a Requirements and Verification Lead.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project that will enable the development of a sustainable infrastructure for transporting crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the execution of program-level requirements and verifications to enable the development of the Human Landing System (HLS) and Human-class Delivery Lander (HDL).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the definition of interface requirements between systems and elements
  • Develop program-level verification event definitions, including system-level verification events and integration of element-level events
  • Develop system-level verification closure products, including preparation of Validation Closure Notices for Blue Origin and NASA purposes
  • Track metrics against plans to develop and closeout requirements and verification products
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the element teams
Requirements:
  • Expertise in the use of requirements and functional analysis to specify and verify complex multi-element systems
  • Experience with defining and managing interfaces, interface requirements, and interface agreements
  • Experience with NASA development program(s)
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with the Blue Origin SLD Program, either MK1 or MK2
  • Experience working on a verification program for a complex spaceflight or aviation system
  • Experience with requirements and V&V tracking tools, preferably using JAMA
  • Experience operating on an Agile team
  • Experience with NASA design and certifications standards for human spaceflight
