About the Role
The Head of School will lead the educational vision and strategy for Vivvi Early Learning, overseeing the development and implementation of a comprehensive curriculum that fosters a love of learning in young children.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee critical systems and processes related to staffing, scheduling, and enrollment management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing requirements, maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers to design and deliver a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, communicating effectively about their child's progress and involving them in the educational process.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity and respect, promoting diversity and equity in all aspects of the school.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to teachers, supporting their professional growth and development.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff members, ensuring a cohesive and effective team.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in early childhood education.
- Hold an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field.
- Hold or be working towards North Carolina Early Childhood administration certification.
- Deep expertise in emergent- or inquiry-based curricula and a progressive approach to early childhood education.
- Knowledge of licensing requirements for early childhood programs.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- CPR and First Aid certification, as well as full vaccination against COVID.
