Medical Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at The Last Resort Recovery. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide nursing services to patients under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site medical observation, monitoring, and client service.
- Ensure thorough communication with the pharmacy regarding medications and medical needs for clients.
- Collaborate with clinical, medical, and administrative staff to ensure quality service for clients and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Communicate with clinical, medical, and administrative staff regarding client disorders, issues, or concerns.
- Adhere to facility, State, and Federal policies and procedures concerning client confidentiality, rights, and anonymity.
- Participate in staff meetings as needed.
- Complete evaluations and reports.
- Use clear communication with supervisors and co-workers.
- Follow all policies and procedures of The Last Resort Recovery.
- Provide services planned to restore clients to optimum social and health adjustment.
- Ensure safe employee practices at all times.
- Perform nursing assessments or delegate assessments at time of admission into services.
- Provide client support services while in treatment.
- Create a safe, comfortable, and client-focused treatment environment.
- Communicate rights and expectations for behavior to clients in a consistent and respectful manner.
- All other duties as delegated and assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Able to navigate a computer and use basic software.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Have a neat and clean appearance.
