As an in-person company, we require our employees to spend two Anchor Days (Mondays & Thursdays) in the office and encourage them to be present for most of the week, including a third day.
About The Role
The Web Presence team at Notion, LLC is responsible for building and maintaining our front-facing website, which is the first point of contact for users visiting notion.so. As a senior engineer on this team, you will own the technical foundation of our dynamic and reliable website. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, writers, and content creators to bring their ideas to life. A successful candidate will lead the creation and maintenance of a website that effectively communicates our product's value, captures users' attention, and increases overall traffic and signups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a seamless marketing site experience that is accessible, reliable, performant, and optimized across multiple geographies.
- Gain a deep understanding of our customers by identifying key points in their journey and uncovering insights to drive engagement and signups.
- Develop new features that create a more engaging and personalized experience, effectively telling our story to audiences.
- Work across the entire tech stack, from Vercel, Cloudflare, and NextJS to React, HTML, and CSS.
- 3+ years of engineering experience building and maintaining quality user interfaces for a large audience.
- Experience with web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript (we use TypeScript), and modern UI frameworks like React and NextJS.
- Ability to decompose complex problems and find clean solutions, either independently or collaboratively with teammates.
- Prioritization of projects based on business impact and ability to balance speed, craft, and the bottom line.
- Critical thinking about the implications of your work on real people's lives and consideration of the responsibilities that come with reach.
- Clear communication of nuanced ideas, whether in writing or real-time discussions.
- Enjoyment of cross-functional collaboration to achieve shared goals and willingness to learn, grow, and help others do the same.
