Key Responsibilities- Plan and Provide Professional Nursing Care: Independently assess patients' needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide high-quality nursing care in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Perform thorough assessments of patients' medical histories, physical conditions, and surgical needs to identify potential risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Develop and Implement Education Plans: Create and implement education plans for patients and their families to ensure they are informed and prepared for surgery and post-operative care.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Accurately document patient information, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans, to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Education and Licensure: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training.
- Certifications: Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and other unit-specific cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree and national certification in a clinical specialty.
