Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Stroke/Sepsis Coordinator to join our team at AdventHealth Riverview. This individual will be responsible for promoting and providing exceptional care of patients through coordination, leadership, and development of processes related to the Stroke and Sepsis Programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates the development, implementation, review, and revision of Stroke & Sepsis standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Responsible for serving as registry content expert to accurately complete clinical registry element requirements, in compliance with national registry guidelines.
  • Incorporates knowledge of AHA Guidelines as well as emerging science and evidence-based practice into Stroke program standards.
  • Participates in Acute Stroke & Sepsis Code activations (when available) to ensure protocols are followed.
  • Leads and participates in performance improvement processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other healthcare related field OR Five years of acute care, critical care, neuroscience, or stroke related nursing experience AND 2 years progressive leadership experience.
  • Registered Nurse
  • Master's degree in Nursing or other healthcare related field (APRN, etc.)
  • Experience as stroke coordinator or with accreditation of stroke programs
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert
