Nurse Practitioner

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our nation's veterans.
Responsibilities- Provide primary and specialty care to patients, including health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct physical examinations, order laboratory studies, and interpret results to diagnose and manage patient conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, educate patients and families on health management, and provide emotional support and counseling as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, share knowledge, and improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to policy development, and engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices.
- Master's degree in nursing or related field from an accredited institution.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- Must be licensed or otherwise recognized as a Nurse Practitioner in a State and maintain full and current certification as a Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Association or another nationally recognized certifying body.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a strong background in primary care, pediatrics, gerontology, or other relevant areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
