Position Summary: As a Commercial Vehicle Operator, you will be responsible for delivering construction materials to various job sites while ensuring the safety and maintenance of your vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver materials to designated locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the vehicle to ensure optimal performance.
- Report any shortages or claims to the supervisor promptly.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials, collaborating with forklift operators as needed.
- Maintain a detailed log of driving hours and on-duty time as per DOT regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and regulations established by the Department of Transportation.
- Account for all company funds during transactions and deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients during loading and unloading processes.
- Support the maintenance of cleanliness and organization in the yard and warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as a CDL driver, preferably with experience in lumber delivery.
- Possession of a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
- Clean driving record and current DOT qualifications are mandatory.
- Ability to follow company policies regarding attendance and punctuality.
